Two edge sword

When we speak the word of God, it cuts away from ourselves, and it accomplishes what God has said it out to produce in our lives. The word of God carries the power to create and change lives.

The definition of; a two or double-edged sword is something; that has or can have both favourable and unfavourable consequences.

By us speaking the word, it will create our destiny. By us, not speaking, it means we are stagnant and; will never reach the full potential that God created in us. Speak the word, declare the word and see the changes taking place in our lives.

DRY BONES, LIVE!

 

I felt this dryness in the spirit and while spending time with the Lord this morning, I asked Him how do I get my dry bones to come alive. He gave me a new revelation on this scripture in Ezekiel 37.

 

Valley of dry bones

The valley represents all our circumstances and situations that life brings on our path, and sometimes it feels like those circumstances overwhelm us and it becomes too much. The dry bones can be broken relationships, work environment, or just the cares of life. God puts us Square? in the middle of these circumstances not to break us, but to build our faith in Him.

 

Prophesy to the bones

The next thing that stood out in the scripture was prophesy. We do not prophesy in our own abilities, but the Holy Spirit stirs us up inside to speak life. Ezekiel did not say dry bones live, he said ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! So only when we have God’s word in us we will we be able to speak life. Many Christians want to prophesy into their situation but they don’t read the word, they don’t wait to hear from God and don’t understand God’s word. The Lord commanded Ezekiel to prophesy and He gave us the same abilities when our relationship with Him is in line with His word. A prophetic word can breathe new life into our situation and also into us. Verse 4

We received prophesy, but we don’t read the word of God to be able to understand the prophesy because we don’t have life in us, life comes from the Word of God and must motivate us for more. When the dry bones rattle and make all kind of noises, this situation causes us to be shaken alive. When you hear the noise and the rattling we must know that God is working on our situation and it is coming into fulfilment. When we have gone through all kinds of situations we will rise up with the Lord behind us. When we feel dry inside and think we are far from God we must hold on to God’s word and His promises. Verse 7

Dry bones can also be Christians who have lost their way or have fallen back into the world system or even people who have taken offence. The word says “Today when you hear His voice, do not harden your heart as in the rebellion”. Hebrews 3:15 The Lord is calling dry bones to come alive.

 

Prayer: Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus help us to be excellent in everything that we do, and today we choose to come back to You. Amen
