“So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.” 2 Kings 13: 21 (NKJV)

Elisha was Elijah’s successor. After Elijah’s death he received a double anointing from God and  also performed double the miracles that Elijah did. The anointing that was upon him was so powerful that even in his death his bones was still full of it’s power.

Even in our weakness, in our death situations, when we feel we’re not in right-standing with God and not worthy to be used by Him, His anointing is still alive in us,  it never departs from us. Isaiah 61:1 proclaims:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”

Satan will always try to prevent us from obeying God, but let us not be intimidated by his lies and rather use the anointing that God has given us to act on what He is calling us to do.

Prayer: Lord my desire is to always rely on your Holy Spirit for guidance and to walk in your power and not in my own strength in Jesus name. Amen.
